What it means to receive care through telehealth with Vida Suya.

This policy is being finalized with counsel. The final version will replace this draft before enrollment opens.

What telehealth is

Telehealth means a licensed clinician evaluates and treats you remotely, using the health information you provide and secure electronic communication, instead of an in-person visit.

Benefits and limits

Telehealth lets you receive care from home, on your schedule. Its limits include that the clinician cannot physically examine you, and decisions depend on the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide.

Your clinician

Clinicians are independent, licensed professionals. They may decline to prescribe, may ask for more information or lab work, and may refer you to in-person care.

Your responsibilities

Provide complete and accurate health information, tell your clinician about changes in your health and medications, and follow up on any referral for in-person care.

Emergencies

Telehealth is not for emergencies. If you have a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

About compounded medication

Compounded medications offered through Vida Suya are prepared by Rush Pharmacy, a licensed pharmacy. They have not been approved, evaluated or reviewed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for safety, effectiveness or quality. They are not generic versions of, and are not the same as, any FDA-approved drug product. Vida Suya is a telehealth platform and is not the compounder or manufacturer of any medication. Compounded drugs are appropriate only when a patient's medical needs cannot be met by an FDA-approved drug. Available only by prescription following an individualized evaluation by a licensed prescriber.

Safety information

GLP-1 medications are prescription medications and are not right for everyone. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation and stomach pain. Serious risks can include pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, low blood sugar, kidney problems and serious allergic reactions. Medications in this class caused thyroid C-cell tumors in rodents; do not use them with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2.
